Best Sliders with Hawaiian Rolls
I love making sliders with Hawaiian rolls, and these cheeseburger sliders sit at the top of my favorites list. My family goes wild for these - I get asked for them just about every time I pick up a package of Hawaiian rolls! And the best part about them (aside from how tasty they are, of course) is how easy they are to make.
These cheeseburger sliders on Hawaiian rolls are so simple, you can bake them right in the package they come in for easy cleanup. No need for dirtying a baking dish. The prep is simple, too; all you have to do is cook the beef (and bacon if you're using it), assemble the sliders, and bake.
You get all the flavors you love from a classic cheeseburger in this easy sliders recipe. Give them a try, and I just know your family and friends will be asking for the recipe... it's that good!
Hawaiian Rolls Sliders Recipes FAQs
Can I bake Hawaiian Rolls in the container they come in?
You can bake Hawaiian roll sliders in the container they come packaged in as long as the oven temperature does not exceed 350°F.
How do I keep my burger sliders warm?
If you're taking burger sliders to a party and want to keep them warm, or want to keep them warm on the table, keep them in the package wrapped in aluminum foil. This will keep the sliders warm and you can store them this way, too.
How do you warm up sliders?
To reheat mini bacon cheeseburgers, cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 10 minutes or so in an oven preheated to 350°F. Alternatively, you can also heat them up in the microwave.
How do you keep sliders from getting soggy?
Because we use two slices of cheese on the top and bottom bun, and drain the beef before using it, there is no chance these mini burgers will get soggy. This means they are perfect for making ahead of time for a get-together.
How many sliders does a pound of meat make?
1 pound of beef is enough for all 12 sliders in the package. To make a larger batch, use 1 pound for every 12 sliders.
What do I need to make Hawaiian roll sliders?
The best part about making Hawaiian roll slider recipes is that you won't need any extra equipment to make them. Hamburger recipes are some of our favorites for being so simple.
In fact, you can use the container the rolls come packaged in to bake your bacon cheeseburger sliders! Yes, really!

Hawaiian Rolls Sliders Recipes Tips
- Use my Burger Seasoning on this recipe. It is amazing!
- Ground beef cooking tips:
- Cook ground beef over medium heat.
- Let it sit in the pan and sear first for a bit before you start to break it up.
- When you do start breaking the beef up, do it gradually.
- Avoid moving the beef around in the pan too much. This will stop it from browning. The more you let it sit untouched, the better the browning will be.
- Bake the bacon cheeseburger sliders right in the packaging for easy clean-up. It's true, you don't need an extra baking dish to make these easy Hawaiian roll sliders! Bake your mini bacon cheeseburgers right in the packaging the rolls come in. This will save you so much clean-up.
- A 9x13" baking dish will also do the trick if you accidentally tossed the packaging.
You can easily size this recipe up to feed more people for a larger party or if you want leftovers. Use a 24-pack of rolls and double your other ingredients.
Burger Toppings
- BBQ sauce (one of our favorites with this recipe!)
- Other cheeses, like white cheddar or Swiss cheese
- Caramelized onions
- Steakhouse Mushrooms
- Spicy Mayo, our Burger Sauce, or Sriracha Fry Sauce
One of everybody's favorite things about making mini cheeseburger sliders is that you can mix them up in so many different ways! Just like a classic cheeseburger recipe, you can have fun. Create your own mini gourmet cheeseburgers!
The list goes on! When it comes to cheeseburger toppings, you can really have fun with them.
How to Bake Bacon in the Oven for Sliders
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (make sure you turn it down to 350 when you make your sliders if you're making everything in one night!).
- Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Then, place a cookie cooling rack in the large baking sheet.
- Arrange bacon slices across the cookie rack in one layer. Don't overlap any of the bacon. Season the bacon with pepper - that's it!
- Bake bacon until the bacon browns and crisps up. 15 minutes will give you bacon with a little chew, and 20 will make very crispy bacon (perfect for these cheeseburger sliders!).
Baking your bacon is a guaranteed way to get crispy, evenly-cooked bacon in a relatively short amount of time. It's stress-free and less greasy if you use a cooling rack to make it.
Since you need the oven on anyway, this is a great way to make your bacon and have it ready for these mini cheeseburger sliders on Hawaiian rolls and more recipes using bacon!
Using a cookie cooling rack allows the air to circulate more evenly, giving you the crispiest bacon ever. This also saves on grease, so you'll wind up with a much easier clean-up.
Many times I also make air fryer bacon. It is a great addition to this already delicious cheeseburger recipe.
Make-ahead Hawaiian Rolls Sliders Instructions
- Prepare any sauces or condiments you want to use. If you're using a mix of ketchup and mayo, mix and store it in an air-tight container like Tupperware or a jar until ready to use.
- Cook and break up the bacon. Store in an air-tight container lined with a paper towel in the refrigerator. Cooked bacon is good for about 4-5 days in the refrigerator.
- Cook the ground beef mixture. Ground beef is good for about 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
- Assemble and bake as instructed, wrapped in foil, on the day you're ready to serve them.
Cheeseburger sliders are good for 3-4 days when refrigerated. However, they're best eaten within the same day. Since they're so easy to make, I recommend making them the same day as any party you're planning.
Air Fryer Sliders Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
- Assemble sliders as instructed according to oven recipe instructions, including packing into the original packaging.
- Wrap the package of sliders in aluminum foil and air fry for 8 minutes. Remove and brush sliders with garlic butter as instructed.
If the original packaging for the rolls will not fit in your air fryer, wrap sliders in foil outside of the package and bake on your air fryer tray.
What to Serve with Sliders
These bacon beef sliders go perfectly with typical burger side dishes like fries, chips, potato wedges, or a fresh green salad. Here are some of my family's favorite side dishes for burgers that are great for serving with sliders:
- Baked Potato Wedges
- Air Fryer Asparagus Fries
- German Potato Salad
- Buttermilk Ranch Salad (leave out the chicken)
